Kutna Hora Beer - BOTTLE Cerna 12 Czech Premium Dark Lager ABV 4.9% X 20 X 500ml

A highly regarded, rare and characterful Czech dark lager that was an instant success when it launched, building on the brewery’s reputation for excellent Czech Pilsners. Its exceptionally dark colour places it in the Black Lager category, a style that remains relatively uncommon.

Brewed from four types of malt using traditional decoction methods, it combines the rich flavours you might expect from a porter with the light, refreshing drinkability of a lager. The aroma brings caramel, freshly roasted coffee and dark chocolate, while the palate is medium-bodied, dry and gently bitter, with a subtle lingering note of bitter chocolate. Importantly, it avoids excessive sweetness, allowing the roasted malt character to remain balanced and clean.

At 4.9% ABV, Černá 12 is remarkably easy-drinking, offering plenty of flavour without feeling heavy.

Best served chilled on its own or alongside roasted meats, smoked cheeses and chocolate desserts.
