Made from 100% rye and aged for six years in American oak, PiggyBack was created with bartenders in mind: a tribute to late WhistlePig master distiller Dave Pickerell and his ambition to create an aged rye specifically for cocktails.

Bottled at a distinctive 48.28% ABV, its strength is designed to give cocktails enough character to stand up to bitters, vermouth and citrus without losing the whiskey's personality.

Rich and inviting on the nose, with cinnamon, citrus, caramel, vanilla and a touch of floral sweetness. The palate brings classic rye spice with black pepper, baking spices and oak, rounded out by vanilla, honey, cocoa and caramel. Full of character without becoming overpowering, with a warm, lingering finish of pepper, vanilla, cinnamon and gentle citrus.

Excellent neat or over ice but this is made to shine in a cocktail. A natural choice for a Manhattan, Old Fashioned or Sazerac, where it brings spice, structure and depth.
