A five-year story of dedication, patience and craftsmanship, the Distillers 5 Year Old Pot Still is a classic Irish style made from a 50:50 mash of malted and unmalted barley. Triple-distilled in traditional copper pot stills and matured in oak, it captures the creamy, full-bodied character that makes Irish Pot Still whiskey so distinctive.

The defining feature is its distinctive cask, from acclaimed Californian winemakers the Bogel family: It is an American white oak hogshead that first matured Pinot Noir before being seasoned in Jerez with Pedro Ximénez sherry. The pot still whiskey was then finished in this unusual cask, bringing layers of rich dried fruit and chocolate to the creamy, spicy character of the spirit.

The result is a beautifully rounded whiskey with honeyed cereal, toasted oak and vanilla on the nose, followed by a rich, creamy palate of buttery pastry, toasted nuts and golden syrup. Warming cinnamon, ginger and gentle pepper spice build alongside dried fruit, with dark chocolate and subtle PX sweetness adding depth before a long, smooth finish of soft oak, malt and lingering spice.

Awards include: Double Gold, 96 points and Pure Pot Still Irish Whiskey of the Year at the 2026 London Spirits Competition, as well as Gold at the 2026 San Francisco World Spirits Competition.
