Since 1860, these Limoux vineyards on the foothills of the Pyrenees have thrived on limestone-rich slopes kissed by four winds, creating a unique microclimate and giving this wine its name. The viticulture is Certified TERRA VITIS and under conversion to organic since 2020.
100% Pinot Noir, unoaked, with ageing on the lees.
Rich in flavour with excellent acidity throughout. The nose is charmingly floral, with marked aromas of fresh cherry and blackcurrants. On the palate red fruits and sweet spice dominate. A cleansing finish invites a second glass.
Enjoy this alongside grilled foods, baked fish, light to medium Mediterranean dishes with red and white meats.
Made for a surprisingly good morning brunch wine with its white counterpart!
