Bolero Sabado Qvevri White Wine - Khikhvi 2023 Khakheti 13% ABV X 6 X 750ml
Khikhvi is one of the oldest Georgian grape varieties, sometimes reminiscent of Viognier in aromas, or Roussanne in texture.
This wine is made under Qvevri: a large clay vessel buried in the ground for a cool, constant temperature and sealed for six months. The egg shape promotes the flow and mixing of grape juice and pomace, giving it greater structure, complexity, and expressive character.
An award-winning pour with a nose of lemongrass, honey, herbal tea, citrus and apple. The palate shows acacia honey, quince and violet in harmony with herbal and black pepper notes. Smooth tannins with long aging potential. Elegant. long finish with cleansing minerality.
Best enjoyed with poultry, fish and crisp salads.
