This Sangiovese IGT Rubicone is a true expression of the grape's character from the Romagna region. Vineyards are cultivated in Rubicone area, the heart of Emilia Romagna, the historical place where Julius Caesar declared the now-famous phrase, "alea iacta est" or "the die is cast." which led to the creation of Roman Empire with Caesar at its head. The grapes are grown in vineyards at an altitude of approximately 200 meters asl. This elevation provides a cooler microclimate, which helps the grapes to ripen slowly while retaining a vibrant acidity. This is balancing the fruit's natural richness and ensuring the wine remains fresh and lively.
It offers a bouquet of bright red fruits, with prominent notes of fresh cherries, raspberries, and plums and delicate hints of violets and a touch of savory earthiness.
On the palate, it is a smooth and easy-drinking wine with a medium body. The fruit flavors are clean and direct, supported by a gentle acidity and soft, approachable tannins. The finish is pleasant and straightforward, making it highly enjoyable.
