Gobbi Mannocchi Organic White Wine - Solhe Passerina IGT Marche 2025 12.5% ABV ITALY X 6 X 750ml
Passerina is a little-known Italian white grape that produces bright, refreshing wines with citrus and orchard-fruit flavours. Expect lemon zest, green apple, pear and delicate floral notes, with a vibrant acidity that makes the wine particularly easy to drink.
With a little age, like this one, it can take on a lightly straw colour, without being reductive or meaning spoilage, and showing more honeyed, nutty (of which bitter Almond), dried-fruits aromas.
To a degree, those who enjoy Roussanne and Marsanne from the Rhone, will find some affinity, on a lively, cleansing, lifted mineral base.
While it can be enjoyed on its own, this is better as a versatile companion to aperitif & finger food, seafood, light pastas, fresh cheeses or zingy vegetable dishes, preferably of Mediterranean influence.
